Getting Here September 24, 2008

  • August 2007:  Started charting BBT, CF/CM, etc to determine if/when I ovulated.
  • November 2007: Donor testing (HIV/STD’s, etc) and waiting for results.
  • December 2007: Donor testing gave us the ALL CLEAR to move ahead.  Began home ICI’s/IVI’s with KD sperm.
  • December 2007: BFN
  • January 2008: BFN
  • February 2008: Early ovulation, missed insemination
  • March 2008: 3rd home ICI/IVI.  2 insems this cycle. Conception date: March 29, 2008.
  • April 2008: Tested on April 8th at 11:45pm – 10DPO – BFP!
  • “Wee One” or “Nessy” as we called him was due December 20th, 2008.
  • 9 Months to the day from our conception date….on December 29th, after 7.5 hours of labor, I gave birth to our son Lachlan.  Had an amazing, planned, unmedicated homebirth with the help of my partner, wonderful midwife and birthing assistant.
  • Lachlan weighs in at 9lbs 3oz and 21″ long!
